About Stewart Skinner,

I am a young pig farmer and an voracious optimist

I genuinely love my job; every day I get to wake up and go make food for people around the world and close to home

Farmers have to be a jack of all trades; on any given day I am….a Biologist, a CEO, an Environmentalist, a Salesman, a Plummer, a Doctor….I think you get the picture

This space will share my thoughts on all things agriculture, from world trade to local strawberries. I hope you enjoy it

You need a picture of yourself on this blog. Liked the article in (I think it was the farmer) this summer. Hope the pig business does well for you!

Great blog, Stew. You are as well written as you are spoken. Your posts are interesting, educational, and intelligent with a personal twist. This will be a great way for me to keep up with the entire Skinner family. Well done, my friend!

Just read a little of your blogs. going to read more later. my granddaughter is a first time FFA class in azle, tx and she is going to get a pig and teach it to walk with a stick, and then show it at a local stock show. we are city people so this is all new to us. Shocking that one little pig could cost #300 and up. But it will give her experience she hasn’t had before. They keep the pigs at the school since we don’t have space here. but anyway ran across your website and will read more. thanks!
